It took us about a month to convince our parents to let us do this, and Ethan and I were really excited when they said yes. The total cost for all of the starting supplies was about $110 but we should be able to cover the costs on our first batch of shrimp.
We have three buyers. Our first buyer will buy 150 shrimp a month for $1.75 at a half an inch. Our other two buyers are not as good though. We also have two personal buyers.
I'm Tate and my partner in this business is Ethan. I am 12 and Ethan is 13. About 2 months ago me and Ethan had the idea to start a betta breeding business. But we found out that breeding bettas is a lot of work and it wouldn't be profitable. So we decided to breed red cherry shrimp. Our first batch of shrimp is coming along very nicely and and they are living in a 10 gallon tank. I'll talk more in my next post!
